Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a trustworthy tradesperson for our home improvement. We registered and posted our needs, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

We trusted Checkatrade to connect us with competent tradespeople. Little did we know we were walking into a disaster.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade favors their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you fall for Checkatrade. Their whole operation is designed to take your money. They promise the world but they a load of rubbish. You'll be left screwed and nobody at Checkatrade will give a damn.

It all starts with their sneaky charges, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like chasing ghosts.

Was Checkatrade a Total Fraud?

We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Then, the customer service from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and sent us a quote that was get more info outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's helpline was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling disappointed and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.

My story with Checkatrade turned into a nightmare. I booked a trader through their website to carry out some essential home repairs. They appeared legitimate at first, but it turned out a horrendous ordeal.

Although I paid the full amount upfront, the work never started. Communication dried up. It's been months, and I'm still left with a gaping hole where my sense of security once was.
